Halloween Carnival

We went to a carnival at our church, the theme was Noah's Ark. AnneMarie was Larry the Cucumber, Jack was Bob the Tomato, and Julia was "a nice witch." They fished for candy, painted mini pumpkins, bobbed for apples on strings, visited "Noah's petting zoo" filled with stuffed animals, had their faces painted, and generally had a really good time. They didn't get too much candy either, which was nice!


 

 

McCall's Pumpkin Patch 2006

We went to the Pumpkin Patch on Sunday, Nathan spoke at the church service before the patch opened. That was really nice and and when they opened up at 10 a.m., it wasn't crowded at all and we had a wonderful time. There so many fun activities to do there! Ben and Dalton were there as well. AnneMarie picked out three small pumpkins to take home, all of which were slightly soft ... yuck. We had a wonderful time and plan to go back on a Sunday every year!


 

 

 

 

 

 

Balloon Fiesta 2006

We went to the Special Shapes Mass Ascention on the morning of Friday the 13th. We woke up at 6 a.m. (actually a little earlier, thanks to Jack), but by the time we got to Balloon Fiesta Park it was light out. We ate mini donuts and mini cinnamon rolls and drank hot chocolate. We only stayed until just after all the balloons lifted off, because AnneMarie was too cold (it was in the low 40s). Her favorite balloon was a plain pink one (she says), but she also really liked the Noah's Ark balloon. She likes them all, really. I suggested that Jack's favorite was the cow, but according to his sister, he doesn't like the cow because he's not a girl (??). She says his favorite was the dragon. Jack definitely had a good time, he was watching intently and waving to the balloons.
