Early Sunday Morning ...

Jack woke up and came into our room about 6 a.m., but he did go back to sleep for over an hour before it was time to get up and get ready. I couldn't resist snapping a pic of these snoozers.

Ponderosa Family Camp

Nathan did a bit of 4 wheeling out on the mountain trails.

One of the things Jack enjoyed best was taking a volleyball and letting it roll down the hill, then chasing after it. He would do this all the way from the volleyball court to the creek if we would let him. This could keep him busy for an hour at a time.

When we got home, Jack reported that his favorite part of camp was Cosmo. That's Cosmo the Bible Dog, who belongs to our children's ministers. He is a very patient boxer.

One of the most anticipated camp activities ... drinking hot cocoa!
The girls enjoyed being out in the woods, although they got to thinking they knew their way around a little better than they actually did. I found myself calling after them often to get them back on track.

Here Jack is throwing twigs and rocks into the creek. The girls were really looking forward to the boat races on Sunday afternoon, but we wound up missing them due to rain.

One of Jack's favorite camp activities was playing ping pong. He was surprisingly good (for a 2 year old)!

We cut our trip short when the rain was pouring down on Sunday. We still had a great time and can't wait to go back next year.

Happy Birthday!

On AnneMarie's birthday, she picked spaghetti for dinner. After dinner, we went to Toys R Us, where she got a crown and a balloon, and her birthday was announced on the intercom. Then we went to Baskin Robbins, where she got a free scoop of ice cream. She picked bubble gum, since she is now 5 years old and allowed to have gum. There was a lot more gum than she could chew at once, so she brought the rest home in a dixie cup.
