Blackmail Photos

Just wanted to show Jack's hilarious new pose in the bathtub. As you can see, his new favorite thing to do is lounge in the tub using "sisser's" bottom as a pillow. She is very tolerant of this, in fact, she doesn't seem to even notice. Maybe they are getting a bit old for bathtub pictures, but it just cracks me up every time I see this.

Dress Up

A few nights ago Jack was having a blast dressing up before bedtime. According to him, "I a cowboy" and later, "I the queen." I suggested that he might be the king, or the prince, but he wasn't sure about that. He also gave me and Nathan a lot of dress up items for us to wear as well. He is too cute and funny! (At least, his mom thinks so.)

Gram

My Gram passed away on January 1st. I was trying to remember one special time I had with my grandma, a stand-out moment in time for me to remember and hold on to. But, I don't have one of those, because we spent so much time together. I was very lucky to grow up living near her, so we were able to see her frequently. She was a fun, kind and generous person, who loved others and who was loved herself, by everyone who knew her. Gram never judged or scolded me, she loved me unconditionally always, like only a grandma can. She really was a big heart in a small package. She was such a wonderful grandma to me, and I feel blessed that my children knew and loved her as well.

A Bolt Birthday Party!

My baby is 3 years old! Boo hoo. I am crying, but we had a fun family party. Jack wanted a Bolt party, after seeing the 3-D movie (he only wore the glasses about 1/2 the time) and seeing the party supplies in a catalogue. Apparently, Jack is the only child in America who liked the movie Bolt, because there is NOTHING available with Bolt on it. I had to order the plates and napkins online because no local store carries them.

AnneMarie and I painted this poster to play "Pin the Lightning on Bolt" (or something like that). As you can see, we may have had a few children peeking, or else our family is just bursting with party game talent. Needless to say A (AnneMarie) and upside down L (Lily) were NOT peeking.

Jack would not open any presents or eat any cake until Grandma arrived, and he admonished anyone who even suggested he do so. As soon as she walked in the door he shouted "Grandma! Time to open my presents!"

AnneMarie was very excited about the gift she picked out for Jack. It is a sort of house for Spiderman and the Hulk. They both are enjoying it very much.

Aunt Jenny sent a game. Playing games is Jack's favorite thing in the whole world.

Two Hulks from Aunt Kelly & Uncle Jeremy & Julia. Julia made the cutest birthday card that said "Hapy Brfday" on the front.
Jack made out like a bandit at his party and later that day he told me "Mom, Santa came again!"

The mail carrier brought a box to the door from Grandma Pam & Papa Barry during the party ... what timing!

Sister asked if she could help blow out the candles. Jack likely would have let her, but I overrruled.

Future Wii Star

Nathan & I got a Wii for Christmas. It is not for the kids, it is for us. :) But Jack wanted to try it out anyway. He's pretty good with anything electronic, basically any expensive item of equipment that a toddler shouldn't be touching, he is good at it.

Christmas Morning

My friend Candice made us this plate ... in the morning all that was left was part of a cookie and the top of the carrot.

AnneMarie got this Marie (from the Aristocats) kitten in her stocking.

Jack got a stuffed WALL-E and EVE in his stocking.

Our Christmas breakfast: cinnamon rolls, bacon and orange juice.
Lounging in her dad's chair to watch a new movie.

Jack arranged all his WALL-E toys on the coffee table so they could watch WALL-E the movie.
