Sleeping Cuties

Yes, this is for real ... we found them like this one night over winter break. Two big kids in a teeny tiny bed.

Tea Party with Grandma

AnneMarie set this up all by herself and invited Grandma for tea for two. On the table are several of the origami birds they made together during their visit.

Christmas Morning

We try to keep it pretty simple on Christmas morning. One gift from Santa, one from us (Mom & Dad), and one from your sibling, plus they open stockings with some treats and usually a small stuffed animal. For the past two years they have been very easy to shop for, as they had only a few, much requested items and they didn't change their minds too much.

Here's Jack with his gift from Santa, a set of 2 nerf guns. He calls this "Shooting on Your Shirt" and has wanted it for a very long time. He has always admired Dalton's nerf toys. It is still a bit hard for him to cock the gun but he has a great time playing with this with anyone who will join him.
AnneMarie got her top request, a Zhu Zhu pet, from Santa. Luckily, she first mentioned it way back in October and Santa had the foresight to purchase it at that time, before it sold out. Santa also put together the little house on Christmas Eve and "wrapped" it under a blanket with a bow on it so it was ready to play with right away.

From Santa, Sonic & the Secret Rings video game for both to play with.
From Mom & Dad, a Furberry. She has wanted one since Julia got hers last year.
From Mom & Dad, Chutes & Ladders game. Jack LOVES all types of games.
One of Jack's most requested gifts, a Pillow Pet, from AnneMarie. She picked it out herself. Now, he sleeps with it as his pillow every night. Sometimes he asks me "Mom, can you make this into a cuddly pet?" (which is something you do by cinching the body together with a velcro strap). I can only suppose he heard that on the commercial. Jack gave AnneMarie some footie pajamas, also something she was really wanting.

Visit with Santa

One night shortly before Christmas, we went to the Bugg family light display at The Menaul School. It was a great outdoor display that you walk around. Inside the cafeteria, Santa was waiting for a photo op. I was excited to hear the kids asking Santa for exactly what I hoped they would! (A nerf gun and a zhu zhu pet.) ;)
